| Spring in the Arctic brings the renewal of life after the long winter darkness. With increasing daylight and moderate temperatures, animals and people become more active on the land. Geese, swans, snow buntings, eider ducks and other bird species return to nest in the Eastern Arctic. | |
| Inuit families go out to live in spring camps along the coast. Join us for an Inuit spring camp adventure. From Cape Dorset we will take you 100 kilometers on snowmobiles and qamutiks across vast stretches of sea ice and snow covered shorelines to Iqalugaaqjuk Camp at Andrew Gordon Bay. At the camp you can stay in the comfort of a heated cabin, or you may choose to sleep in atraditional tent on the tundra. Jig for arctic char through the ice at the fish lake. |
